The Crux is where most major scientific operations are located, such as power stations and research stations. It also holds the elevator to The Mantlehold. At the center is a dusty, rocky landscape which is surrounded by a thick jungle. The island was not built for the purpose of civilization and was solely to station the headquarters of major scientific operations. Researchers and workers often reside in camps when present.
